BodySculp FAQs

  • The BodySculp is a body-contouring device with four diode laser applicators that targets and delivers energy to adipose tissue while avoiding harm to the skin surface. The laser energy penetrates the hypodermis and disrupts fat cells which are then eliminated by the lymphatic system. The BodySculp’s fat reduction procedure is safe and effective while being as comfortable as possible for patients. Ideal areas include under the chin, abdomen, love handles, and inner/outer thighs. After a thorough consultation, patients will have a treatment plan to follow for an ideal outcome. The best results are accompanied by a good diet and regular exercise.

  • Laser lipolysis is a non-invasive form of body sculpting that removes small fat deposits using energy. Like surgical liposuction, this procedure permanently removes fat cells from your body. It’s much less painful than sugery and laser lipolysis recovery is also shorter and less complicated. Laser lipolysis uses laser energy delivered through an applicator, delivering heat into fat cells. The fat cells are preferentially heated and disrupted without impacting structures or other types of cells in the skin.

  • The BodySculp applicators wrap around you like a belt and deliver 1060nm diode laser energy that reaches a temperature of 42 - 46 ° C (107 ° F - 116 ° F). This is hot enough to kill fat cells underneath the skin while leaving other tissues unharmed. Research

  • During treatment, patients experience an alternating sensation of warmth from the laser and coolness from the built-in cooling system which keeps your skin comfortable. Patients describe feeling a slight tingling and minor discomfort, but most people tolerate it quite well. Treatment sessions last about 25 minutes.

  • On average, most patients will need 3 treatments spread 4 weeks apart. The number of treatments can vary depending on the patient and amount of fat cells in that specific area. We recommend speaking with one of our experts to get the best course of treatment for your needs.

  • Yes, patients may resume normal activity following treatment.

  • Immediate results should not be expected. While BodySculp is an easy way to reduce unsightly bulges and areas of unwanted fat, results are not apparent right after leaving the practice. You can expect to start seeing results in about six weeks, with final results visible 12 weeks after the last treatment. One can expect the results to be permanent. However, new fat cells can form if you don’t stick to a healthy diet and exercise routine. BodySculp is a fat-reduction procedure but not a weight-loss tool. Diet and exercise is encouraged to improve and maintain positive results.

  • We recommend 25-minute sessions.
